Death Penalty

When I first saw the movie called "unexpected miracles" I began to question whether it was correct or not the death penalty. My parents tried to explain to me the reasons that some people had to support and believe in such punishment, but I never understood. The last movie I saw where it mentioned the topic was "the secret of his eyes". I believe that in the movie previously mentioned, I managed to understand better about the feelings of the people who support the death penalty.
But in my personal opinion, I think that is not the best punishment for a person who has committed a serious crime.
I think that not exist any person in the world that have the right to terminate the life of another person, I consider that the right to life is the most important right and nobody can break. To believe that executions bring justice to crime victims and their families, It is not a good argument for me.
While the execution of criminals and political dissidents has been used by almost all societies at one time or another in their history, current use of the death penalty has been abolished in most countries
In many countries where it still applies the death penalty is reserved as punishment for the crimes of murder, espionage, treason, or as part of military law. In some countries also applies to punish sex crimes, being considered such as adultery or sodomy. It is also punishable by death in other countries, apostasy, the formal renunciation of one's religiĆ³n.
