Where to go in Santiago???

Hello my dear friend, I hope you are fine…
In this occasion I will show you five places that you must not stop visiting in Santiago of Chile.
If you are interested in knowing more about of our culture, National Historical Museum and the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian art, are the best places to start a good tour, in these places you can take a trip in time and start living our culture, through knowledge and recreation of the country's history through the collection, preservation, research and dissemination of tangible and intangible heritage which forms the historical memory of Chile.
Second place you can visit the Metropolitan Cathedral. The Cathedral of Santiago lies a magic that few people know inside it is a beautiful museum pieces that bring us closer to the history of Chile. This Cathedral is located on the Plaza de Armas. It can also be observed inside three ships, two sides and a central higher, and a roof-shaped barrel vault. It is located to the west of the Plaza de Armas and can be reached by Public Transport: Metro Station Plaza de Armas.
Santa Lucia hill, is a national monument surely you can not miss. It is a great oasis in the midst of our great concrete jungle. Inside you can find Castillo Hidalgo, water fountains, beautiful gardens and many viewpoints.
The seat of President of the Republic of Chile, is another place you can visit. The palace of La Moneda It also houses the ministries of Interior, General Secretariat of the Presidency and General Secretariat of Government. To the north is the “Plaza de la Constitucion” and to the south is the “Plaza de la ciudadanía” which has in the underground “El Centro Cultural Palacio La Moneda” where you can find various expositions, now you can enjoy the exhibition called "The ancient China and the Terracotta army” which will be in our country until the end of May.
Pablo Neruda is one of our Nobel laureates in literature known for his great poetry, so I recommended last place you visit in Santiago of Chile is "Casa la Chascona" The Chascona Pablo Neruda is located on a hillside of Cerro San Cristobal. This is the house where he spent his years Pablo Neruda. This house stands beside a waterfall, outlines the magic of the great poet. It is a unique house that has been designed only by an artist like Pablo Neruda and is manufactured using carefully selected materials. For poetry lovers this is a unique place worth visiting.
I hope you enjoy these magnificent places of our city.

Death Penalty

When I first saw the movie called "unexpected miracles" I began to question whether it was correct or not the death penalty. My parents tried to explain to me the reasons that some people had to support and believe in such punishment, but I never understood. The last movie I saw where it mentioned the topic was "the secret of his eyes". I believe that in the movie previously mentioned, I managed to understand better about the feelings of the people who support the death penalty.
But in my personal opinion, I think that is not the best punishment for a person who has committed a serious crime.
I think that not exist any person in the world that have the right to terminate the life of another person, I consider that the right to life is the most important right and nobody can break. To believe that executions bring justice to crime victims and their families, It is not a good argument for me.
While the execution of criminals and political dissidents has been used by almost all societies at one time or another in their history, current use of the death penalty has been abolished in most countries
In many countries where it still applies the death penalty is reserved as punishment for the crimes of murder, espionage, treason, or as part of military law. In some countries also applies to punish sex crimes, being considered such as adultery or sodomy. It is also punishable by death in other countries, apostasy, the formal renunciation of one's religión.

A Country I would like to visit

UK is the country I dream of someday being able to visit. Since childhood I've liked their landscapes and it has attracted much attention architecture. Reminds me of old things, ancient historical times. I come to my mind the great castle, its extensive gardens, I come to my mind the great castle, its extensive gardens, the knights of the Round Table, Merlin the Magician and King Arthur.
I know that the UK is a unitary state comprised of four countries: Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland; is a developed country and considered a world power, was the first industrialized country in the world and the leading world power during the nineteenth and early twentieth century; is a constitutional monarchy and Elizabeth II is head of state in the country.
If I could travel to Britain would be two reasons, the first reason would be to know the characteristic monuments like Clock Tower, the Palace of Westminster, and its castles. I love touring the South of England and visit the cities and towns such as Canterbury. In the north I visit the city of Liverpool is famous for the immortal Beatles and because the Titanic began its journey in this city. I travel all over the place that I could until my money ran out, but I would not leave the UK without having visited Scotland, specifically the highlands, where there is the Loch Ness. My second reason would find a nice place to live for a couple of years and then return to my country.
I hope my dream comes true…

My experiences during the second term of 2009

Hello friends! How are you? For me it's great to communicate with you again. These last weeks I have had many things to do in the university , but the last half of last year was crazy, But the last half of last year was crazy... This opportunity I will tell you some of my experiences.
Starting the second half of the year tells me that soon I will be birthday. August 12 was my 20th birthday, that day I went with my friends ice skating, had a great time, we had fun and we did not stop laughing for the countless falls. Then we went to eat together ... was one of my best birthdays! After two weeks I broke up with my boyfriend, and that left me very sad for a long time, but I decided to go ahead and focus my time on something more productive than dwell on the past. I chose the elective Capoeira, and I really enjoyed. I started training only on Mondays, but amused me so much I decided to train the on Tuesdays, finally I finished training on Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays!. Capoeira is a dance of defense of Brazilian origin. it "plays" (fight) for two people within a wheel, a circle formed by all participants. Every now and then performed a baptism to give each student a rope, which according to color one can appraise the level of fighting.
After many tests I had finished my semester of university with my field practice in the city of Linares. was the opportunity to apply the acquired knowledge but more reason to learn and practice for a week about pork production, dairy work and most difficult, learn to live with my classmates.
After my practice, my vacation started, finally came time to enjoy family and old friends. I enjoyed a nice Christmas and New Year . I ended 2009 with beautiful memories and great experiences!

TranSantiago!

I started living in Santiago when I went to University of Chile, therefore I did not manage to use the services of former public transport. When I started my career in veterinary medicine I've taken the transantiago so I can not do a good and objective comparison with the previous system.
At first everything was very new to me, new city, home, friends, but nothing hindered me as much as Transantiago. I chose the easier, “the subway”, but had and still has some disadvantages for me, for example, it takes me longer to get to college and I can not know the streets of the city. I know that time is something precious to be able to manage, so I had no choice but to learn to use transantiago, and my first big help was his website, is easy to use and you can see the different options of routes, and the least amount of possible combinations. One day my classmate told me why you do not take the bus216? is the best because it takes up a block from your house and leaves you outside of the university!. I stopped using the subway and I started to use the transantiago. I think a more secure system than the previous, has a more convenient payment system "the BIP" and has a better treatment towards people.
For the system improves, I think it is good that the frequency of buses should be higher and more orderly, because there are times when one waits and waits for a bus, and sometimes spend two or three buses together!
It is a system that still has room for improvement, but over time has been improving their public acceptance.

My career

Hello I hope that you are fine…
Now I will tell you some things about of my career.
The career that I chose is a veterinary medicine, because from very small I liked everything what was different to my and the first thing that I discovered went to my dog, It was calling boby and it lived 19 years with my family. I have never stopped crying whenever I remember it. Definitively it was my small dog the one that motivated me to studying this career.
I think that the professionals of my area have a very important role in our society because we can reach in many areas, for example the animal health (that is one of the most important) environmental hygiene, control of food, conservation of animals in risk and on the verge of extinction and to teach to the people a culture that implies responsibilities with the rest of the alive beings of our planet.
Personally I believe that the most fundamental tool that a veterinary doctor must have is to have had a good education in a good university; another type of tools like for example the doctors (stethoscope, scissors, tweezers, medicines, etc) are going to depend on the specialization that every person decides to take. I will specialize myself in major animals (cows, horses etc.) And do I dream of coming one day to the field of my grandfather and of saying to him " what problem you have with your animals, I you solve it "
I believe that to be a veterinarian is not only to take care to the animals, it is especially to love them., it is to dedicate part of his your being to the art of saving his lives, to be a veterinarian is to come closer the instincts, it is to lose the fears, it is win friends and feathers of hair that they never disappoint you.

NICE TO REMEMEMBER...

Hi classmates and miss, I will tell them will count of this Photo.
Well, this photo was taken by my boyfriend In the summer vacations of this year one day in the beach called “Vichuquén” after the St. Valentine's day and our last day of familiar vacations. In this photo I appear with my two little sisters her names are Valentina and Daniela.
On having seen this photo I start remembering many things, for example the sound of the sea of the waves, the strong wind and the sand between my fingers, these long days of I relax, the mom's rich food, the sandcastles, and the long conversations before sleeping.
I would want to return to these days…
I think that the years go away but the familiar recollections never forget.
In these moments the photographies are my consolation, the fact of studying far from my family does that the photos allow me to have them near my and to be able to see them to every moment.
